How Do You Journal: Discover Who You Want To Be and What You Want in Life
How do you journal?
There are multiple ways to journal.
After you read How to Journal and How to Start a Journal, you now know the basics and have an easy way to get into the habit of journaling.
Today, in part 3 of the how do you journal series, I will explain another popular way of journaling, which is writing about the life you want to live.
Doing this regularly will give you more and more CLARITY about who you want to be and what you want in life. Most of us actually already know this deep inside. A lot of people just either never ask themselves what they want or find it hard to translate these subtle feelings into a clear vision and clear goals…
The more clearly you can see the life you want to live, the bigger the change you will be able to actually live that life. You will be able to see it more and more clearly if you keep practicing this.
Here are 5 how do you journal steps to start using this journaling style:

1. Pick the best moment of the day for you to do this. When are you the most energetic and inspired? You need good sleep and energy to be able to do this well. This moment should also be when you have uninterrupted alone time.
2. Play a song that you really like in the background. Which song are you playing on repeat right now and makes you daydream automatically? Preferably, choose a positive song, because otherwise what you write down has a higher chance of being negative.
3. Sit down and start free writing in your journal. Describe a short scene of what your life looks like, if anything is possible and if money isn’t an issue.
Write this down in the PRESENT TENSE. Have fun with it, it is not that serious. See it happening in front of you while you write it. Use all your senses. What do you see, what do you smell, what does it taste like if you are eating something, what do all the objects and movements in the scene feel like, etc.?
4. FEEL in your body what it would feel like if you actually live that scene right now in the moment. What do you feel? Do you feel grateful? Do you feel at peace? Feeling it in your body is probably the most important part of these how do you journal steps.
5. Repeat these previous steps with different scenes every day, but you can also repeat the same scene if you are enjoying it.
Keep trying out new things in your life, if you really have a hard time coming up with something to write down. An easy way to understand this is to see life as a very large all-you-can-eat buffet. If you never try all the different foods, you will have a hard time finding out what you really like.
If you have dreams you want to achieve…
